Grandpa Miner Nov. 1, 1917 - Aug. 11, 2008

Grandpa- one of his favorite hobbies, deep sea fishing

The Miner Family- Grandpa far left

This is a picture of Grandpa Miner, my mom and Victoria just weeks before he passed away. We flew to California July 18Th and we got to see Grandpa 3 times. He had been in a nursing home for 6 months and was fairly well for someone who has had Alzheimer's for about 15 years or more. But soon after we flew home mom called and said that he had passed away. We will miss him but we know he is in a much better place with family and friends surrounding him.

Grandpa was known by most people as Wayne or T.W.(Thornton Wayne)Miner. We had his funeral on August 16, 2008. I had the privilege of doing his eulogy. I enjoyed finding out things about him I didn't know and sharing with my mom her special memories of him. Grandpa was a good man who loved his family very much. He will be missed!

Suz - did a great job with the Eulogy, we could feel his spirit through out the day, which was very comforting to me.
